Strengthening Neighborhoods
What's the issue?
Every neighborhood in District 3 has different needs. Phyllis is always receptive to community input and is committed to ensuring that the specific needs of each neighborhood in the district are met.
Why is it important:
The neighborhoods that make up District 3 are as diverse and interesting as the people that make them up. Phyllis is proud to represent every neighborhood in District 3 and will continue to work hard every day for each of them.
Phyllis Got It Done:
- Hosted neighborhood events like our backpack giveaways, in which we partnered with organizations like The San Antonio Food Bank, CPS Energy and Pre-K for SA to give out more than 2000 backpacks and school supplies.
- Supported our veterans and their families wherever possible by providing resources to medical care and economic relief programs.
Looking ahead:
- Make sure that city codes are enforced to ensure safety and compliance with our local standards district wide, from overgrown lots in highland park and highland hills to abandoned structures along the 410 corridor.
- Keep our parks clean, safe, and up-to-date.
- Work to secure an R6 zoning designation for neighborhoods like Harlandale Acres.
